Umlalazi Nature Reserve
Umlalazi is located South of Richards Bay, it`s a lagoon, feeded by a river going to the sea. On the ocean side, lots of sand dunes, surrounding tne lagoon, and more in land, the vegetation is a mangrove, with a few crocodiles and hippos. Behind the lagune, there is a large beach, which never ends up, white sand, blue sea. This ecosystem make this place like a little paradise. Below, there are a few pictures of my second trip in Umlalazi, in October 2002, with Adrie, Chris, and Rolf.
Beware !! sometimes, you can meet a croc ...
try to fish ....
small result, but that`s the only one caught ...
But we had other games, like Cross carrying on the beach, like Jesus.
or a log throwing, like germans.
So Rolf the German, was logically the champion.
Other game: Capuera on the beach.
Better: wakeboard with Chris surf board.
Close to Shore.
The Master: Chris in action
Rolfie.
