Drakensberg
In French:
Drakensberg, or"montains
of the dragons", one of the highest chain montain in Africa (highest pic
: Mafadi, 3450m), constitutes a part of the border between South africa and
Lesotho. You can find here, about 3700 ha of nature reserves, the most famous
sites are the amphitheatre and Sani Pass (highest pass in Africa: 2865m), pass
going through Lesotho.
12 french, and two
South Africans, went in a 3 days trip (27 to 29 of April 2001), in the middle
of the Drakensberg. Schedule: Hiking, Horse riding, trip in Lesotho, rock festival
at Splashy Fen.
